It all depends on your use cases.

Datacenter Proxies are proxies that are not affiliated with an Internet Service Provider (ISP). They come from a secondary corporation and provide you with completely private IP authentication and anonymity.

While Residential Proxies are a vast, web-like network of real IP addresses given by internet service providers (ISPs).

The biggest difference between them lies in that Datacenter Proxies are hosted in datacenters or cloud hosting services, while Residential Proxies are hosted in real home devices, like your laptop, set-top box, etc. So from some perspectives, Datacenter Proxies have higher speeds than Residential Proxies.

It's worth mentioning that datacenters and cloud hosting services provide their services for many users, and their IPs may have been used frequently before, so Datacenter Proxies are commonly flagged by websites and you may get blocked by your targeted websites.

So if your targeted website is with low safety, Datacenter Proxies are the best because of their high speeds.
